“I started taking Alexander Technique lessons in Dec of 2009 to help alleviate the constant physical stress of high-intensity training. Throughout the next few months, I was able to represent Canada at the World Cup for Ski-cross for the first time in my career and I also moved up the ranks to place 2nd at the Canadian National Championships in March 2010. I believe that learning the Alexander Technique was a vital part of my success.
The Technique assisted in my recovery from strenuous training and helped to prevent injuries. I highly recommend any aspiring athlete to seek out Gary Logan for lessons.” |

“In working with Gary I was able to develop a keener sense of my body, my musculature, and how I carried myself through everyday life.
Gary’s teachings instilled in me a greater sense of awareness as to when tension was present, so that I could free myself of it. Gary created a warm and safe environment, and was always focused and patient.” |

“My experience with Gary was wholly positive. The increased awareness of how I hold my body and move my body in space has gone along way to helping me perform at my best, and has also helped to reduce recovery time from the rigors of amateur contact sport.
Gary himself is a pleasure to work with. He’s an endless source of patience, and invests in you and your well being every bit as much you do in him as a teacher” |

“I came to see Gary Logan 6 months after I had surgery to correct a torn labrum in my right shoulder. I had been going through extensive rehab, as is required for this particular operation, but learning and practicing the Alexander Technique (AT) with Gary was paramount in returning me to a state where I felt that I could do the things I was used to doing.
AT is an extremely subtle art. It teaches you a body awareness that I have not been able to find in any other practice. I’ve been a competitive athlete for my entire life, and the cause for my surgery was university rowing. Thus, I’ve always had above average body awareness that I constantly try to improve. My first interaction with AT was a letdown to say the least, but I decided to give it a second attempt after meeting Gary. Subsequently, my time with Gary made me realize that while there are numerous benefits that come with AT, many can only be reached with a good teacher, and in my experience Gary is one of the best. What makes Gary an extremely competent teacher is his ability to communicate his art. As an individual who needs to understand why I am practicing a specific movement, or how a smaller practice fits into a larger one, Gary was extremely patient in answering all my questions and making sure that I was comfortable in my foundations before advancing to more complex aspects of AT. In summary, Gary’s teaching has played an integral role in helping me not only recover from an extremely invasive surgery, but he has also helped me shape my physical goals in a positive way that could not have been realized without his help. Whether a high performing athlete, an individual who wants to improve their body and spatial awareness, or just an individual who wants to become healthier, I believe that everyone can benefit from Gary’s teaching and his in depth understanding of the Alexander Technique.” |

“Gary has given me more than a well functioning body. As someone with a physical job, he has taught me to use my body efficiently and with little stress. He has made me aware of greater ways to deal with situations that come up in all facets of my life, whether it is during athletic training, or day to day activity.
I can honestly say that mentally and physically, I would not feel as awesome as I do today if it weren’t for Gary’s superb teaching in the Alexander Technique.” |

“I found Gary a patient, resourceful Alexander Technique teacher who listened and worked with me to
establish goals for an improved posture. I learned how to stand and walk well, sit properly and enable my spine to recover from long periods at a computer. Along with resolving back pain, this enabled me to perform better in my long distance competitive trail running here on the North Shore.” |

As a singer, songwriter and performer, this was extremely helpful and lead to some incredible new sounds flowing from my voice. Thank you Gary for your time and inspiration!” |

"I came to Gary because numerous musicians have recommended Alexander Technique as a way of improving one's playing. Having started the piano late in life, I needed all the help I could get. Seeing Gary has definitely improved my pianistic ability. Furthermore, prior to seeing Gary, I had limited mobility in my left knee due to an injury suffered 25 years ago.
Gary managed to restore the mobility in my left knee; something multiple physios and Rolfers failed to accomplish. My results with Gary were so impressive that both my wife and my 14 year old daughter have started taking lessons with him as well." |

"Gary does not teach with words. He has such an amazing touch that he can communicate his intention by simply placing his hands on my joints or limbs. If my body is too stiff or unwilling to respond, he will find other avenues to teach my body to come into alignment.
As a Pilates instructor, I have learned different approaches to achieving the same goal of improving body awareness and postural alignment from Gary. I look forward to more lessons from Gary to deepen my understanding of the Alexander Technique through my own practice." |
